The Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre has re-opened in an increased capacity since the COVID 19 closure. Please see the following opening hours.

Below is a summary of our operating model in response to Phase 4 of the WA Government COVID 19 restrictions.

OPEN

Aquatics | we will be operating in compliance with current social distancing restrictions. 

Gym | we will be operating in compliance with current social distancing restrictions. 

Fitness Classes | will resume as per the Group Fitness timetable.

Crèche | our crèche will be operating at a 10-person max capacity.  Bookings are encouraged to secure your space.

Sporting Courts | our courts will be operating in compliance with social distancing restrictions. Bookings are encouraged to secure your space.

Please call ALAC on (08) 6820 3400 to make your booking, or call in and see us. Due to the frequent changes we are unable to offer online bookings at this time.

CLOSED

Spa and Steam Room | the spa and steam room will reopen Tuesday 30th June.

Swim School | the ALAC swim school will remain closed until further notice.  Possible resumption date being Term 3, 2020.

How do I make a booking for a court?

Please call ALAC on (08) 6820 3400 or call in and see us to make a booking. Due to the frequent changes we are unable to offer online bookings at this time.

How do I stay up to date with the latest information during the closure?

Has ALAC completed a COVID Safety Plan?

Yes – COVID Safety Plan Certificate is displayed at the entrance of the facility.

What physical distancing measures has ALAC put in place?

The Centre will no doubt look a little different to how you last saw it with socially distanced markings on the floor and protective screens at Customer Service desks now installed.

We also encourage all members to use EFTPOS facilities instead of cash.

What additional cleaning measures have been implemented?

ALAC has installed multiple hand sanitising stations throughout the facility.  As you enter the building you will be required to sanitise your hands, using the sanitisation station.

We have allowed for regular cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day to ensure a safe environment for our members and patrons.

All shared equipment will be disinfected and cleaned between use.

How many people can attend ALAC?

Gathering limits are now only determined by WA's reduced 2sqm rule.

Are there restrictions on how many times a week I can visit?

There are no restrictions on the amount of times you visit us. You can come as many times a week as you like!

Swimming Pools - What pools are open?

Our Pools are both open as per ALAC opening hours.

Is the spa and steam room open?

Our spa and steam room will reopen Tuesday 30th June.

Is Swim School back on?

We will commence sessions in Term 3, 2020. Enrolment information and timetable will be available soon. Check our facebook and website pages for current information.

Is the crèche open?

Yes, our crèche staff can’t wait to see you! Bookings are required.

Are change rooms, lockers, and toilets open?

Yes

What has happened to my membership?

All current memberships including those with direct debits were automatically suspended, with no fees, when the facility closed on March 20.

All suspended memberships will be re-activated as of July 1st.

Can I access the gym under the 24/7 arrangements out of normal operating hours?

Yes. The gym will reopen 24/7 access from July 1st.

I would like to cancel my membership. How do I go about this?

The terms and conditions to cancel your membership remain unchanged. To cancel your membership please email the Gym alacgym@albany.wa.gov.au with your cancellation request and we will respond to your email.

What will happen to my swimming lesson?

All swimming lessons were cancelled from Saturday 21st March 2020. You do not need to take any action. A credit will be applied to your family profile for any cancelled lessons that you have paid for. If you have any further questions, please email the Swim School alacswimschool@albany.wa.gov.au

Are Active Albany programs still running?

Active Albany will continue to be postponed until further notice. For enquiries please email recprograms@albany.wa.gov.au

Are Long Live You programs still running?

The Long Live You program will recommence on Monday 6th July with enrolments commencing Tuesday 30th June.

What will happen to team sports?

Individual sporting clubs and peak bodies are making decisions on their relevant fixtures, trainings, finals and future fixtures. Please contact your sporting body representative.

I have a regular booking at Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre. What will happen with my booking?

All regular bookings will need to be confirmed prior to returning to the centre. Please contact alacbookings@albany.wa.gov.au  should you have any booking related enquiries.
